My aunt surprised me today with an early Easter gift. My aunt is such a sweetheart, she is always surprising me with cute little gifts. This year her gift just flat out ROCKED! I could not believe my eyes, because I have been looking for cleaning gloves like these (shown in the picture above) for what seems like forever. She also got me some cute decorative Easter eggs, and pretty Easter flowers as well.

I just wanted to share what my aunt gave me for Easter. =-)

Happy First Day of Spring everyone! I hope you all are having wonderful Spring weather, and that the sun is shining bright for you where you are! The sun is shining here today, it’s lovely. I have chickadee birds nesting in my bird house right now, and the tulips are starting to show their pretty petals. Before I know it, my cherry trees will be blossoming and will be planting my garden. -YEAH!

I’m doing my Happy Dance right now! Sophie Kinsella’s New Book “I’ve Got Your Number” is out, and I’m so excited! I absolutely love her books, I can never seem to get enough of them. I have posted a synopsis below of “I’ve Got Your Number”.

I’ve lost it. The only thing in the world I wasn’t supposed to lose. My engagement ring. It’s been in Magnus’s family for three generations. And now, the very same day his parents are coming, I’ve lost it. The very same day. Do not hyperventilate Poppy. Stay positive!!

Poppy Wyatt has never felt luckier. She is about to marry the ideal man, Magnus Tavish, but in one afternoon her ‘happy ever after’ begins to fall apart. Not only has she lost her engagement ring but in the panic that followed, she has now lost her phone. As she paces shakily round the hotel foyer she spots an abandoned phone in a bin. Finders keepers! Now she can leave a number for the hotel to contact her when they find her ring. Perfect!

Well, perfect except the phone’s owner, businessman Sam Roxton doesn’t agree. He wants his phone back and doesn’t appreciate Poppy reading all his messages and wading into his personal life.

What ensues is a hilarious and unpredictable turn of events as Poppy and Sam increasingly upend each other’s lives through emails and text messages. As Poppy juggles wedding preparations, mysterious phone calls and hiding her left hand from Magnus and his parents… she soon realizes that she is in for the biggest surprise of her life.

Every Diva should not forget her lucky green shamrock pumps. She must have them for when she is heading out for night on the town, to enjoy some green beer and to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.

Its been one year since that deadly earthquake & tsunami hit Japan. I still get a tear in my eye when I see the images of the tsunami flooding of all the towns, and the people who could not get out in time. My heart goes out to all the of Japanese people who lost a loved one’s that day.

I posted this picture because I stumbled across an article on the internet telling the story about the girl in the photo. Of all the pictures that I have seen in the news, on the Internet, and the magazines, this is by far the one photograph that has affected me most.

Here is a snippet of the article, that I found on the internet about the girl in the photo if you want to know more about the background.

“One year after she was pictured sobbing in the remains of her home in the Yuriage district of the town of Natori, instantly becoming a symbol of the devastation wrought upon Japan by the March 11 tsunami, Akane Ito cannot bring herself to return again.

Ito, 29, had lived in a second-floor apartment that had stood where she was photographed and had gone to buy batteries and emergency supplies after the magnitude-9 earthquake struck.

She had believed that her 10 pet dogs would be safe while she was away, but the tsunami destroyed their home and she was only able to return two days later.

Ito, who worked in a bar, was crying for the pets that she said she could not save.

“I kept apologising in my mind to the dogs for not being able to protect them,” she told the Asahi newspaper, which first ran her photograph.

Over the next few weeks, she was reunited with two of her dogs – May, a 6-year-old female Labrador, and Momo, a female poodle – but continued the fruitless search for the others for months.”

You can read more of Ito’s story here: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/japan/9127105/Japan-tsunami-anniversary-girl-who-became-symbol-of-tragedy-cant-return.html

With Spring just around the corner, I just wanted to share with all of you the beautiful plant my darling fiance bought me. Isn’t it just beautiful? I just love the color pink, especially pink flowers. The pot my plant is in is just precious. Every time I look at that the pot, I have a huge smile on my face. =0)

I love all kinds of plants and flowers, but my all time favorite plant would have to be Lavender, with my favorite flower being the any kind of Rose. Speaking of roses, I will be posting pictures of my precious roses that I have been growing for you all this Summer. My roses are my babies, I love them so much. I have a red rose bush, pink rose bush, and mini lavender rose bush. I’m hoping this year to plant a peach rose bush, dark pink rose bush and possibly a black rose bush if I can find one.

Last year I planted black petunias and they were absolutely gorgeous. This picture does not do them justice. I have posted a picture below of my black petunias for you all to see.

I can’t wait to get my garden decorations out from the shed, and start planting beautiful flowers and my above ground garden.

I wanted to share this with you all. I read the article (below) on NaturalNews.com today, and I just about fell out of my seat. So as it goes, some lady takes her precious puppy “DoDo” to get groomed at the groomers. The groomer accidentally cuts off the dogs ear, and what happens next is what is so shocking! ..Instead of telling the owner what she had done, she decides to GLUE the dogs ear back on! The groomer then goes on and puts one of those pretty little bows in the dogs hair to cover her handy-work up. The owner of the dog did not notice the injury to the dog right away, but she could sense something was wrong with DoDo. DoDo was acting aggressive towards her mommy and that was not normal. Soon, mommies husband figures it out spotting the evidence on the dog’s ear. Now, I’m not a mommy to a dog, but if this was my dog, and some groomer cut my sweet angel’s ear off, I would have opened two full cans of Italian whoop-ass on the groomer! 1/4 can for messing up my dogs ear, and 1-3/4 cans for trying to cover it up!

Below you can read a snip it of the article below and then you can follow the link to the full article on NaturalNews.com. I’m sure you will fall out of your chair as well when you read the full article.

“(NaturalNews) Petco is being sued by two former customers who claim that groomers at a store in Hawaii mutilated their dogs. In one case, groomers cut off a dog’s ear and attempted to cover it up by gluing the ear back on.

When Gladys Kapuwai brought her dog Dodo home from Petco groomers in Kaneohe (wearing a bow), the dog began acting aggressive for no apparent reason. Kapuwai’s husband investigated and found dried blood all over one of Dodo’s ears. Closer inspection showed that the ear had been cut off and then clumsily reattached.

“I mean, they just covered it up,” said Kapuwai’s attorney, Michael Green. “The bow was to cover the fact that they had severed the ear, cut through the cartilage. The ear was … almost cut off.”
